F.A.Q.

1. Why can't I update my settings?

  • Enable cookies.

2. Why does your report show a different DPS then WWS?

  • All DPS is recalculated to be a representation of Damage/Time. WWS recalculates DPS to include time present in the encounter. We feel that our number is better for ranking individuals and guilds, while WWS's number is more useful to raid leaders seeking to improve performance.
  • For a more in depth look at the difference between wws, and our methods, please refer to Here

3. The link to the WWS report is showing an expired report.

  • Reports never expire from our database. This allows a much longer historical record to be maintained.

4. Why is my report missing?

  • We only pull data from WWS on a limited schedule. New reports may take a couple days to appear.
  • We check each report to verify it is valid. This is done by comparing the amount of damage done to a known baseline. Reports with bad splits/merges will report too much or too little damage and be marked as invalid.
  • We require that your guild WWS reports include a link to your guild's homepage. Reports without this will appear as "Unknown - No Website Listed".
  • Guilds that have repeatedly edited their combat logs will have all future reports marked as invalid.
  • We only pull the top 200 reports for character parsing. If you have an exceptional player DPS in an encounter that does not make the top 200 reports, you can have it parsed manually. Please refer to Manual Parses to parse the individual report

5. Why don't you show data for certain bosses?

  • The Moroes event can be completed in so many ways that there is no valid baseline for damage done. We are working on this.
  • The Opera event contains an incredible number of bad reports.
  • The Reliquary of Souls event is currently broken in WWS

6. Why aren't faster kills listed higher?

  • While a faster kill usually requires more DPS, occasionally a mob can heal, adds may be held by a tank instead of being attacked, or a log may simply miss data from a player that is out of range. These can slightly skew the reported length of a report or the damage recorded.

7. How is the score/average rank determined and what is the difference between a rank and a place?

  • A guild is ranked based on the number of guilds that have posted higher DPS numbers.
  • If your guild has the 6th highest DPS on a boss, and the top 5 reports are all by the same guild, you are ranked #2 and placed #6.
  • An average rank is the summation of your ranks, assuming 201 if you do not have a top 200 report posted divided by the number of bosses in the report.
  • Each boss is assigned a total of 200 points. The top rank receives 200 points, 2nd receives 199 points and so on. Anyone with a report ranked higher then 200th place, or no report at all, receives no points for that boss. The sum of points is the guild's score.

8. Why are there differences between the normal distribution numbers in class placings average and the numbers from the individaul boss?

  • The lowest allowed dps is calcualted as follows: mean-0.5*mean. Once we have that, we re-calculate everything else involving the normal distribution using that as the new cutoff. The reason the numbers are different is becuase in the individual bosses page, each class is calculated seperatly, In the class averages page it is calculated amongst all classes.

9. How can I give you guys feedback?
